I decided to write this review - because when I was considering buying the product, I could not find any actual buyer-side reviews. I am glad that after extensive research, I chose this tub and can strongly recommend to others. This is an "old school" cast iron tub that is heavy, durable and easy to clean. It is not cheap (I paid $1350+tax) - but offers a great value over time. Some plastic or steel alternatives may look appealing price-wise, but I did not like the hollow sound that they made (as if it was an empty plastic bottle) - you can't fool with physics - cast iron is the best. Because the Highbridge tub is 60-inch wide, it was a great upgrade for my Brooklyn, NY apartment - where the typical bathroom size is only 5 x 7 feet. During the bathroom reno, I was replacing 1950 cast iron tub which had a shallow depth (12 inches), thus soaking was not comfortable. This tub looks much deeper, however the actual water level is just 13.5 inches. It is roomier than its predecessor,...
