My only complaint, and this is something I never have to complain about when items are shipped directly from Amazon, but this one was, is that the unit was shipped only in it's original box and by the time it was delivered on my doorstep, the box was open at one end and the parts inside were scattered so that we weren't sure if everything was there until it was time to install it a month later. As a told Amazon in my review of the packaging, I've recieved $4 non-fragle items much better packaged than my $1500 shower. I installed this unit as part of a bathroom remodel for my son. I love how the unit mixes the water and has a high temperature setpoint. This means I never have to worry about my son scalding himself on super hot water! The exact right temperature comes out all the time. The hardware is very heavy and high qualify. This looks beautiful on my wall. The only thing that isn't 5-star about this is the handheld shower portion. The hose that connect feels to be made of plastic. Also, the shower head on the handheld unit is also plastic. Every other piece of this shower kit is solid metal and bulletproof. I'm not sure why they didn't continue that with the hand-held portion. The installation instructions were fantastic. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a high end shower kit with exposed pipe.

Review : This shower is a spa experience- but be aware of parts issues
We installed this unit in our home. Wow. Amazing. The most relaxing and fun shower experience you can imagine. I dream of getting to the shower each evening to let the waterfall features of it wash away the tensions of the day.

Just one warning about it. If the unit you recieve includes the bushings/reducers for the copper pipes in the wall check them or have your contractor/plumber/installer check them and replace them with parts purchased in America made for use in the United States. Only the older models include these European parts.

In Europe they do not use what we refer to as teflon plumber's tape. They use a hemp tape that is a heavier duty product and requires the bushings/reducers have dimples on them to hold it in place. In the USA those dimples on the bushings/reducers will cut right through the "teflon" tape and cause leaks in your pipe system. The company no longer includes these dimpled parts in the products sold in the USA but should you get an...

Initially the o rings at divertor valve leaked, but a replacement o rings set was sent and it works fine now. I had to wait over a week to get these parts replaced without a shower. Hansgrohe warranty were quick to respond to my emails but as the product was bought on amazon.co. they asked me to go back to Amazon .com It is well made, expensive and has a simple elegant look. Given the high cost for this shower head wonder why the water stem ( short connecting pipe) inside the control valve is made of plastic material. I have seen other brands cheaper where all the connecting pipes are made of copper or brass. I have had the shower installed about 3 months ago and happy so far with the Hansgrohe showerpipe.
