This shower was installed as part of a full renovation to our bathroom, I was a bit worried because we were having trouble finding a unit with this style that was of good quality, but not in the $5000 range. It was either cheap units with a lot of plastic, or the very high priced ones. My only complaint, and this is something I never have to complain about when items are shipped directly from Amazon, but this one was, is that the unit was shipped only in it's original box and by the time it was delivered on my doorstep, the box was open at one end and the parts inside were scattered so that we weren't sure if everything was there until it was time to install it a month later. As a told Amazon in my review of the packaging, I've recieved $4 non-fragle items much better packaged than my $1500 shower. Review : Nearly perfect, you won't be disappointed!
I installed this unit as part of a bathroom remodel for my son. I love how the unit mixes the water and has a high temperature setpoint. This means I never have to worry about my son scalding himself on super hot water! The exact right temperature comes out all the time. The hardware is very heavy and high qualify. This looks beautiful on my wall. The only thing that isn't 5-star about this is the handheld shower portion. The hose that connect feels to be made of plastic. Also, the shower head on the handheld unit is also plastic. Every other piece of this shower kit is solid metal and bulletproof. I'm not sure why they didn't continue that with the hand-held portion. The installation instructions were fantastic. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a high end shower kit with exposed pipe.

Initially the o rings at divertor valve leaked, but a replacement o rings set was sent and it works fine now. I had to wait over a week to get these parts replaced without a shower. Hansgrohe warranty were quick to respond to my emails but as the product was bought on amazon.co. they asked me to go back to Amazon .com It is well made, expensive and has a simple elegant look. Given the high cost for this shower head wonder why the water stem ( short connecting pipe) inside the control valve is made of plastic material. I have seen other brands cheaper where all the connecting pipes are made of copper or brass. I have had the shower installed about 3 months ago and happy so far with the Hansgrohe showerpipe.
