I was shocked at how expensive shower doors are, but decided to take a chance on the Dreamline, which was very inexpensive compared to most other options. I did not want to pay to have it installed, so I decided to do it myself. I am just a normal corporate type of guy - am not a contractor or anything, but can do basic home improvements. This is one of the more advanced projects for my skill level.

The product was shipped via Roadway Express. This had to be specially scheduled with the local delivery dock - they did not contact me, and I had to call them twice (after they failed to show up). Anyway, that was the worst part of the whole process - but it worked out.

You'll also find it impossible to install if your walls are the least bit out of plumb or if your opening is even slightly narrower or wider - by even one-eighth of an inch, at any point -- than the door's dimensions. The contractor on our bathroom remodeling project, who has many years of experience and is a certified home inspector, declared it a piece of junk.
