This review is for the Kohler Smart-Divide offset sink. We purchased this sink for our recent kitchen remodel. We planned for a traditional/transitional design, and the style fits perfectly. We had the unit under-mounted to our new granite countertops. This brought up two issues:

1) Our granite fabricator noted that the holes for the faucet and accessories (seen along the top edge of the sink) would work fine in a top-mount application, but would have to be modified for under-mount. The holes did not allow for enough granite between opening for the sink and the holes themselves, potentially causing a weak spot in the granite. He had to cut the steel so that the holes for the faucet could move about 2 cm further from the edge.

2) Our plumber noted that the the stiffening bar on the underside of the top edge would interfere with our faucet installation. It is spot-welded on, but he was able to remove it without too much struggle. He fabricated small braces...

It scratches VERY easily and more than that there is only a slight slope in the basin of the sink so if you have misc small food pieces to rinse down the drain you either have to use your hand to push it to the drain or you have to increase the water pressure and use the sprayer to direct it where you want it to go.
