Review : Severe crack after three years light use
This fireclay sink (KBK160WH) was installed by a general contractor who specializes in kitchen and bath remodels. After three years of light use (only two occupants at this residence) a small crack was noticed extending from near the center of the smaller sink toward the right front (front being where one stands) of the sink. Over a three day (est.) period following this discovery, a chip fell out near the drain and the crack extended to the corner of the sink and then split in two with one extension proceeding toward the back of the sink and the other proceeding along the front. Each of these is about 6 inches long. The crack along the front is visible on the outside of the sink inside the cabinet.

We are not aware of any single event that would have caused damage like this. We do have some heavy pots and pans but seldom use them and don't recall dropping them or anything else. Our cleaning person (apparently) partially filled the sink and it did leak, though day-to-day...
